This is how the scheme is implemented:
- Before making any decisions, you will probably want to consider the benefits, the administrative work and other implications of the scheme. We are here to help you.
- Once you decide to proceed, you will need to announce the good news to your staff. One very effective way to introduce it is to have the Bikedock Road Show come to your premises. Employees can then see the bikes for themselves and ask all the questions they want directly to us.
- The employees are then given a window (usually a month) in which to come and select their bike, as well as the accessories they need to cycle to work safely. They will receive an order acknowledgement from us, which they will pass on to you.
- At this point, you will ask them to sign an agreement covering the supply of the goods. We will supply this agreement – all you need to do is add the relevant names of employer and employee.
- At the end of the purchase window, we will supply you with all the order details, and give you only one invoice for all of them.
- When the invoice is paid, employees collect their bikes and will then begin the salary sacrifice (usually 12) from the next salary payment.
- You have complete control over the scheme – you can choose to have it all year long, twice a year or most commonly, once a year.
