About bikedock

Bikedock is an independent UK-based company established in 1994. Over the past 17 years we have grown to be one of the largest bike retail and mail order companies in the UK. Our 10, 000 sq feet premises, including a fully-featured workshop and customer car parking, are located in Belfast. Our extensive product range includes folding bicycles and electric bicycles – ideal to store in the boot of a car or the garage of a camper van. For several years, we have been specialists in trikes for cyclists with special needs. We also have a fleet of road, hybrid and kids' bikes for hire. Our products and prices

We have a large stock of specialist cycle components all under one roof, so if we have it in stock it is available to be mailed directly to you the same day. Bikedock make a conscious effort to get the best deal when purchasing stock to enable us to pass this on to our customers. We stock new and up to date lines of all our product ranges and offer our great discounts on our clearance stock. All our products come with full manufacturers warranties to allow you to shop with confidence.

Our advice

We understand that it’s not always easy to keep up to date with the fast moving world of cycle kit. If you need some help with anything to do with cycling you can rely on our large team of bike experts to point you in the right direction. Our team is highly experienced with in-house experts in all cycling disciplines.

Our workshop

The busy workshop at Bikedock is manned by 4 experienced and dedicated engineers. Their Shimano Service Centre workshop is positioned at the front of the building and fully open to view from the outside. If you need your bike serviced or repaired, then bring it to the shop, there is no need to book in advance. Most service work is completed between 24 and 72 hours, depending on how busy the workshop is. Take pride in your bike – we do!

Delivery

No destination is too far or too difficult for us. Every day we ship to all corners of the globe via high speed delivery services. We offer FREE delivery to most major international destinations with a minimum spend. Even if you need something small our postage rates are minimal. We endeavor to understand how things are in your neck of the woods by stocking things to suit your season, communicating with you in your language and offering after sale care that feels like we are just down the road.

Cycle to work

A bicycle and cycling equipment at half price - thanks to the Government! The Government Cycle to Work Scheme is an initiative which has been devised to help employees buy bicycles tax free, saving between 46 and 52% of the value of the bicycle. Employers make savings on National Insurance contributions and experience reduced levels of staff sick leave. With the help of Bikedock, an experienced scheme facilitator, the scheme is very simple to implement. The Cycle to Work scheme, part of “The Green Transport Plan”, brings substantial tax benefits to both employers and employees. The Scheme is very simple to adopt and this is how it works: * The employee chooses a bike and any accessories at Bikedock. * These are then purchased by the employer. * The employer claims back the VAT as a business purchase. * The amount after VAT is then deducted from gross salaries over 12 months – effectively interest free to the employee. * At the end of the 12 months, the employer has the option to sell the bicycle to the employee, for a fair market price (approximately 3.5% of the initial price of the bike).

Cycle hire

Visit our bespoke hire service to book mountain, hybrid and kids' bikes in advance, or visit us to select a bike in person. Pre-booking a bike is highly recommended - it speeds up the collection and payment process, and will help to ensure you get the bike you need.
